Hand Soap (4% Topical Solution)

  • Prolonged antimicrobial effect up to 48-72 hours.
  • Persistence of action prevents recolonization by microorganisms.
  • A scrub agent based on CHG (4%) was shown to be significantly more effective to reduce bacterial count than a povidone-iodine (7.5%) scrub agent.
  • Used for ICU decontamination – reduced CLABSI and MRSA.
